We are comprised of specialist Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and Oral Surgeons. We are based in southwest Sydney, the Southern Highlands and the Illawarra Regions of NSW.

An Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon is a specialist medical doctor, in addition to a specialist dentist, who has completed a dental and medical degree, in addition to at least six years of formal surgical training. Before being registered as a specialist with the Medical and Dental Boards of Australia, there is an extensive examination and assessment process, leading to the award of a surgical fellowship. Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is a medical and dental surgical speciality that deals with the treatment of disorders and defects of the teeth, mouth, jaws and face.

We are all specialists at OFIS which means we have completed advanced formal education and training in our specific fields. Being treated by a specialist gives you peace of mind, knowing you are being treated by an expert in their field.

Specialist Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon

“As an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon, I have the qualifications, training, skills and experience to perform a wide range of surgical procedures. I can skillfully remove impacted wisdom teeth to relieve pain and infection, or insert dental implants to restore function and recreate a beautiful smile. I can also reposition someone’s jaws after careful surgical planning, to improve their appearance, speech, chewing and self-esteem. Another part of my job I find very rewarding is delicately reconstructing the face of someone who has been involved in an accident.”
